Waco Spotlight: First Fridays 02/05/16 | Four Columns Marketing Here at 4C we love Waco, but we love watching Waco grow and flourish even more. We are always looking for ways to invest and engage in the city we call home. This week we are spotlighting a monthly event held downtown called First Friday. First Friday is held the first Friday of each month. Their goal is to make downtown a destination filled with activities and people in the downtown area, all while supporting local businesses. Locals can enjoy “sips, bites and specials” all day from participating restaurants, bars and shops, along with extended hours. Music from local bands can be heard all along the iconic Austin Avenue. The streets of downtown come alive under the Alico lights, and you wont want to miss it! Downtown is home to various home décor shops, trendy boutiques, highly rated restaurants and so much more. Downtown has seen tremendous growth in the last year with the addition of new restaurants and bars, the reopening of the Hippodrome, and of course Magnolia. More and more people are moving downtown to experience the unique vibe of the city. This First Friday you can start your day off with a little shopping at Roots or the Findery, dine at Ninfa’s for lunch, and end your night at Muddle or Truelove Bar. (Sounds like the perfect way to spend your Friday in Waco to us!) If you are curious about what downtown has to offer and want to support local businesses, we highly encourage you to participate in today’s First Friday and explore the destination that is downtown Waco. We promise you wont be disappointed! For a full list of participating vendors, discounts and deals check out First Friday’s Facebook page.
